Stovetop Oats with Milk Recipe
Ingredients:
* 1 cup rolled oats
* 2 cups milk (or any milk substitute of your choice)
* 1/4 tsp salt
* 1 tsp vanilla extract
* Toppings of your choice (e.g. fresh fruit, nuts, honey, cinnamon)
Instructions:
In a medium saucepan, bring the milk and salt to a simmer over medium heat.
Add the rolled oats to the saucepan and stir well to combine.
Reduce the heat to low and simmer the oats, stirring occasionally, for 10-12 minutes or until they are cooked to your liking.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
Divide the oatmeal into bowls and add your desired toppings.
Serve immediately while still warm.
Note: You can also add other ingredients to the oatmeal while cooking, such as mashed banana, cocoa powder, or peanut butter, to create your own unique flavor combinations.
