Video camera
The type of camera you choose will depend upon the theme of your vlog and your experience working with and editing film. Really though, any camera that has a film capacity and can connect to your computer will work, although you will want to make sure that your option supports HD (1080p) footage. When choosing the camera you will sue, pay attention to the following video quality aspects:
Vlogging Style/Genre
Camera quality to look for
Indoors, at night
Low light performance
Outdoors, travel, sports
Optical image stabilization, lightweight
Beauty, food
4k or Ultra HD camera
Tripod
Unless you are planning to use your laptop’s built in webcam, it’s a good idea to invest in a tripod for your camera. This way, you don’t have to deal with shaky footage or worry about dropping your device.
Lighting
Some cameras come with light adjustment features for use when you are filming in a darker environment. However, it also helps to establish your own source of light, especially if your vlog takes place indoors. Usually, an overhead light will do.
Microphone
Attaching a microphone to your camera will help you pick up your audio, making it a lot easier for you to later edit your footage. Consider using a microphone if you are filming outside, or in a crowded street or room.
