1. Listen to podcasts.
2. Listen to an audiobook. (You can check them out for free if you’re a member of a local public library!)
3. Listen to a playlist full of music that gets you motivated.
4. Take along a voice recorder to leave voice memos for yourself while you walk. You can use it to brainstorm for work or school, write a song or poem, or create a grocery list or to-do list for the day.
5. Use a pedometer to keep track of your steps and set goals for yourself.
6. Even better, get a fitness band to track you steps, heart rate, calories burned, etc. It can help you to set and achieve fitness goals.
7. Find a nearby nature trail or scenic neighborhood to make your route more interesting.
8. Bring your dog along with you, or volunteer to walk a neighbor’s dog.
9. Study the nature you see around you, including trees, flowers, and animals.
10. Pray or meditate.
11. Grab a walking buddy and have a conversation while you walk together.
12. Give yourself a reward if you meet your daily walking goals, such as a cup of tea, a small treat, or a pampering facial mask or foot soak.
13. Create a scavenger hunt and search for the things on your list as you walk.
