Delirium Tremens
Delirium tremens refers to severe alcohol withdrawal symptoms that occur in only about 5% of people experiencing alcohol withdrawal. They can occur anywhere from day 2 to day 10 days from your last drink. DT can be life threatening, so it’s important to seek emergency medical help if you or someone you know is suffering from these symptoms. These symptoms can get rapidly worse, which is one way to tell them apart from usual withdrawal symptoms.
