There are some people who, when they add a message to a post, don’t addanything. Once or twice, is ok, but doing it all the time gets annoying. If you are going to quote someone, at least make it worthwhile.
I’d like to add to this, that this includes bumping an old thread just to say something already said, whether you quote them or not.
I’d also like to add to this, please use common sensewhen using the Forums. Meaning, please don’t post on a closed thread that you can bypass, because the thread’s closed for a reason. Also, don’t create nonsense threads; if you need to leave, use the wikiBreak thread, chat, use wikiTwitter. Etc… =) June Days

I’d also like to add to this, please do not quote everything. It’s only necessary to quote what you’re actually replying to… so no need of 4-10 quotes… just one is enough. Also, don’t quote an entire message and just say “agree”; there’s a thousand more ways to agree to something.

That’s not the purpose of the quote button, though.

People use the quote button “as” the Facebook ‘like’, but shouldn’t. Then again, people that use the quote button as the Facebook ‘like’ and don’t say anything themselves is like the Twitter retweet. And that shouldn’t be happening either.

It seems every other annoyance posted on this thread actually happens regularly. Also, assume good faith.
I propose just deleting GC and Forum Games.

Did you read the second part of that post? =) Also, I was assuming good faith; however, when it happens more than once, it’s something I personally tend to worry about.

That is a plain stupid idea, your saying about getting rid of two of the most used forum categories stemming from the fact people aren’t using the quote button correctly.

I don’t understand why people will take 2 seconds to hit the quite button, or make a blank post, but they can’t take 4-5 seconds to simply say I agree with so and so.
And nothing of value would be lost.
A user would be lost which is always something of value. If you get rid of said threads talk page chat will increse, threads WILL get created for chat in other categories.
There are other websites out there.
My wikiHow Stats: 28 Articles Started 1,535 Article Edits 2,489 Edits Patrolled 817 Article Views Destroyers stats just so you can see how “un valuable” he suposedly is. Not all people use other websites like facebook, twitter etcetera and making users go to them is ridiculous.
