Been using Manage Suggested Topics a lot since its big fix between 2020 and 2021 anf think ive caught another bug that i just couldnt put my finger down on. And though i dont think its completely nailed, i do think i have enough pieces to mention something about one of the issues.

Right now, if you try to edit the request without making changes then press ok. Send that to the server by publishing that. Refresh your page or relod the page (youll find the first page always takes the text of the original request title not the r fixed title, another issue all in itself but can be wotked around by reloading the page) and try toAccept the new title, this title wont make the logs nor will make the list on Answer Requests even though it said it’s been accepted. Just had one that it removed even though i accepted it after an accidental editing: “ Find Height of an Object Using Trigonometry” and which never made the logs nor tool.

Sometimes, topics tend to get lost. They aren’t accepted and aren’t rejected. They just - vanish - even if they aren’t even edited. The tool picks random times when it wants to work right - although for the most part it works fine.

As mentioned before, the tool also has trouble accepting an edited request even though once edited it tries to accept the request on the list. When it then opens the refreshed page, although it subtracts that one from the page of accepted topics, it also keeps behind the old unedited name. About the only thing i can do is refresh the page to get the edited version up and shown. For the most part, if titles were really edited, itll accept for real and send itself to the Answer Requests tool.

This is been happening on every browser ive tried (Microsoft Edge and Microsoft Chromium Windows 10 and iOS/iPhone). I don’t know if its not going to work elsewhere too, but with this track record, i think it would be problematic.

Perhaps a halloween bug?! I’m not sure when we’ll be able to get someone to take a look at this, but it’s on my list.

This has been happening for quite some time - i could never put 2 and 2 together to write it down publicly(make 4). There’s probably a few other instances i just don’t know how to explain, but it picks random titles to make them vanish to a point they just dont show up - ever - in the logs.
