The community has done some incredible reductions on the backlogs over the years, such as getting the Merge category down, but especially within the past month with the format backlog, from 525+ to zero! Since we’ve got that out of the way, I’d like for us to work on the Articles to be Split backlog next. There are only around 30 articles now, luckily, so it probably won’t take too long (I took care of about 40 beforehand)!

The process is pretty simple— @Anna and I collaborated to expand and improve https://www.wikihow.com/Perform-a-Split-of-a-wikiHow-Article , so I suggest reading it.

@Anna created a spreadsheet here to help organize our efforts: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1rLq3NNYn_4JhHYNjiM83fNZuYLZRTEEqLVV9ZgqJkAI

Few notes:

So… let’s get to work:smiley:

This could be a nice, quick queue to bust before we dive into intros or whatever larger queue folks want to tackle next! Some of these are pretty much straight redirects or simple copy-pastes, too, so it’s not as daunting as it sounds:wink:

Oh and if you don’t want to, there’s no need to make a sock account… you can always just publish them logged out, if you don’t want them showing up with your username.

5 down, 24 to go - all listed right here

16 handled so far, 13 remain – about 55% complete.

Down to 0.  Huge shoutout to @Anna for making the spreadsheet and helping handle split articles.

Well more so, huge shout out to you, @Batreeq , for handling so many of the splits! It was a superhero effort, for sure, and it’s great to see that queue busted!

I agree with @Anna . @Batreeq , I’ve seen you splitting several articles and appreciate all your help with this project!

Aww, thanks!

Congrats @Batreeq Real awesome job!
