This battle game is based upon whether you like potato chips or French fries better. The rules are as follows. If you like chips better, add one. If you like fries better, subtract one. If you like or dislike them both, choose whichever team you like and follow their rules. You cannot switch teams or double post. The winning point for the chips team is 500, and the winning point for the fries team is -500. If any one team wins, the game starts again at zero. That being said, let’s begin! Edit: When I say chips, I mean the kind of sliced potato that you can buy at stores. A famous brand of it is Lays. When I say fries, I mean the kind of stick-like potato that you can buy at McDonald’s.

1 Chips team

This has to be confusing to Brits whose chips are fries.

So what you’re saying is that Brits say chips but mean fries? Then let me explain it in my edit.

Yes. The British chips in “fish and chips” are what Americans would call thick cut french fries. And, for Brits, crisps are what Americans call potato chips.

Thus, what in America would be Chips vs. Fries would be Crisps vs. Chips in England/Ireland. Highly confusing.

I dislike both, so going with chips team I guess?!

Urm how… the hell

To me… Chips and fries are exactly the same. I’m an American, living in the UK… i’ve been here for nearly 20 years but I remember what they tasted like back then, before I moved here. We couldn’t afford a deep fryer so we oven cooked our fries, no grease or oil needed. Many years later, it’s still the same, we have been doing with the fries here, or chips as the British calls them and they taste the same. Cuz they are the same thing… just different names!

Potato chips are also pretty much the same as what the British call crisps, it’s the same thing, just different names like before! So I don’t know how to play this game…

For me, chips are flat, and Lays sells them. They’re often sold in bags and long cans. For me, fries are stick-like, and McDonald’s and KFC sell them. They’re best when freshly cooked, and you won’t see them sold packaged in stores. Hope this helps! 2

I think I mean crisps by saying chips. 2 If possible, I’m going to upload a picture of chips and a picture of fries to clear it up.
