I have been asked a few times about the copyvios in NAB. Here is what I do since the copyviobot is pre-tagging them. I check the ‘source’ article if the article is not showing or look at the article if it is still up there in the window. * If it is one of the many BullS#%^%&%^%&T articles, I will also put NFD|NOT|ADV and anything else that I can think of. My intent is that when they get through the copyvio, if they do, the editor knows some NFD options (without having to think them up himself). Those, I boost through. * If the article might need some formatting, if it makes it through, I leave it there…(skip it). * If the article looks like it has potential, I leave it in NAB in case it could get/merit an RS. Any other questions, please ask.
Sounds good, Teresa. There’s no need to blank in NAB as I cast an eye over the content in case it’s something I’m aware of. When I blank your NFDs they’ll be restored where applicable with a new date for the 7 day review period.

What I have bee doing, Dave, is if it is putting the type of nfd it is on the discussion page. That way, you don’t have to put any thought to that part of the process.

Teresa, if the article is spam, feel free to speedy delete it from NAB, even with the copyvio template on it. If you’re confident it’s not an article we are going to keep, there is no point in having Dave invest his time into investigating permissions. The copyviocheckbot is actually very good at detecting spam, because the people who publish spam content tend to publish it on a bazillion other sites as well.
