I have some questions here:
- How do you create sections on your profile?
- Do you have to be on wikihow for a certain number of days to do certain things?
- How do you add UIBs?
- How do you get promotions?
- How much experience do you have to have before you can start new articles?
- What are invites?
Can anyone help me out? I read some articles on how to use wikihow, but they didn’t help much. I’ve only been on here for a week so I don’t know very much about how all this works…

I can answer a few of these:
- By placing == ReplaceThisText == on your userpage, you will create a section
- Some tools and features require you to have been on the site for at least a few days with some edits.
- To add UIBs, go onto your user page, edit it, and place the UIB. There is a list of UIBs somewhere but I can’t remember where it is, but for example, typing {{User UK}} would add the relevant template to your user page
- Promotions as far as I know are gained through tests. Usually, you have to be on the site for at least a month to get one. I went for welcomer, which provides a badge and gives you access to the welcome wagon tool. The others I know of are boosters, which afaik just choose which articles do and don’t go live to viewers, and admins, who can block/unblock users, delete pages, remove NFD tags, and probably some other things
- It seems to vary for users. For me, I think I was on the site for 2 weeks with around 15 edits before RC patrol and the article creator opened up, but I have also seen other users with less of these on the site, so maybe try doing some editing and it will probably open up.

I know a few answers to your questions:
- You can add some HTML code to add sections on your profile (check mine for an example). There are also some settings you can change to add more sections to your profile:
- Yeah, I’m pretty sure the admins can decide whether or not you’re experienced enough to create articles. I don’t remember how long it took for me to create one though, but the wait time wasn’t long.
- This link
brings you to the UIBs page! You can also create one.
thank you! you were a big help!!!
Thank you too!I really appreciate it!!!
Anything fancy that you see on another user’s page can be sleuthed by clicking edit on their user page. Some users might use subpages that you will also have to look at. Common courtesy is to ask before copying another’s work or building off of it. Make extrasure not to hit publish when you’re messing around in the edit window.
Ok, like um, how do the UIBs? I still don’t quite understand. Anyone have like a screenshot or something they could show me?
Oh yeah, usually people make a new section on their user page for UIBs. I got these from the wikiHow templates page from my previous post on this thread. It’s here
if you need it again.

You just put {{Your UIB}} like this on your page. Some people just put them in a column which looks like this:
I borrowed code from another user to make the UIBs like this:
