This rad community made some pretty great edits this first week of October - three cheers all 'round!

For anyone interested, I’ve also included a few of the promoted articles from the college students doing projects here at the moment, too. I’m not in touch with all of the professors, but I gather we have students around from WSU, OSU, NCSU, and maybe some other colleges, too. They’re mostly working independently (apart from getting a few pointers on our format/guidelines/etc from helpful boosters and patrollers!), and it’s pretty cool to see some of the ideas some of them come up with!  Since I know a few of you have reached out and helped them when they were confused about wikitext and the like, I figured you guys would like to see the results, too:slight_smile:

Have you seen a contribution you think deserves recognition? I try but I don’t see all the great edits around here, so if I’m missing some folks who deserve recognition, share it here! https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1MyOqwjOBCt5MgP08s1zljBSYnWxq1beLRYrfuL_tsSg/viewform

Big kudos to the college students and all the other amazing edits. Keep it up wikiHow, as usual. =)

Wow, quite impressive work from so many newbies, It is just the first month of the semester and at this rate the Anna must be having a hard time keeping up with so much activity and multiple teachers and college professors to coordinate and help. @Anna will you be required to track and evaluate each student’s edits and contributions?  Or do you simply give stats and feedback to each of their professors?

Thank you all for such good edits and patrolling, Although, there were many conflicts and greenhouse and community dashboard bugs, Every active contributor worked collaboratively and managed so much… This is one of the longest weekly community achievements I’ve seen since i joined.

I would like to help any student if they need any advice on Construction, Metal fabrication, Recycling, retrofit and reconstruction of antiques and years of experience on automotive repair and performance modifications.to name a few.

Nice work, everyone - and as usual, keep it up!

@Ruben-Gabriel - Don’t worry - nooo grading for me! That’s on the professors, hah.

I’m not involved directly with the college projects at the assigning/grading level. I’d actually be happy to work more closely with the professors, and I have reached out to a couple where I can get hold of their contact info from students (to make sure everyone is on the same page about our guidelines and the wiki approach, mostly). For the most part, though, the professors have just been sending students here to complete the articles, without any input from us/me. Other boosters and I have just been giving feedback and sending info about formatting and the like as needed, like with any other boosts.

But it’s become kind of a regular thing these last few semesters - it’s neat to see wikiHow being used in the classroom that way, especially in the cases where the students take it really seriously and take the time to fit their projects to our guidelines. Some of them do a really solid job getting to know our format and asking great questions, and that’d always be an A+ from me:slight_smile:

Thanks for the mentions - congrats everyone else:slight_smile:

Great job, everyone!

Whoo-hoo! Keep it up.

It’s increasingly growing popular with Many of the Leading University Educators. Jack may be seeing the fruit and blossoms of his road to education and his dream. I may be wrong by assuming that most of the teachers, professors and department head / deans that have included as a grading assignment, or to meet as a volunteer hours requirement adds to endorse wikiHow mission.I see a niche trending to get bigger next year. Have you made any survey on their class syllabus for any rules or requirements we could all help.

Well done to everyone and especially all the students from WSU, OSU, and NCSU for starting so many interesting articles for wikiHow.

Thanks for the mentions! Great job everyone! :D

Thanks for  the mention :)

Thanks for the mentions and a big thank you to students for starting such amazing articles!

Awesome!

Hello Anna

Everyone does so great!! Well done everyone!

EPIC WORK. KEEP IT UP!
