Hey! I was checking my mainspace edits, so I went over to: http://versa.is-a-geek.com:2280/cgi-bin/wikihow_kate.pl
I wrote down Twoscompany and clicked Submit. After a long wait, it told me I had made 65 mainspace edits. I thought I had made more, so I refreshed. This seemed to convince it that I had actually made more than a hundred. While writing this discussion, I tried again and it told me 694.
Is it the computer, the website, or my mainspace edits who’s screwy??
Maybe you should email Versageek about the bug
Good idea … I was thinking that it might have something to do with Versageek being confused about whether my username is Twoscompany or Two’scompany??

We’ve concluded that that page is not super accurate, it’s just a good snapshot.
Is there a way to find out? I think 65 and 694 are kinda different numbers, but is there a different way to get an accurate number?
Maybe it would be 694 + 65 = 759?

i’m thinking i could write a working tool for that using the MW API

I just cooked this up in about 5 minutes… if someone wants me to expand it, I will. http://whherald.co.cc/mainspace.php
If your browser says “Connecting…” you’re probably querying a user with a lot of contributions, in which case it’ll finish in about a minute.

Hmm… Mine took less than 1 second, and it seems about right… Thanks for creating this, King Sudo!
Thanks! Apparently Versageek was halfway right - my # of mainspace edits is 694.

That or Versageek and SudoKing are wrong in the same way
