When I finished copyediting an article yesterday, after it asked “Would it be appropriate to remove the COPYEDIT from this article?”, I clicked Yes. It should have removed the copyedit tag, and it did. However, in the history of the article, people kept editing the article more and more, and the summary was “Edit from COPYEDIT greenhouse” like always, but the tag wasn’t there. I also thought the article didn’t need cleaning up, so I removed that tag, but yet, it was still in the Cleanup greenhouse. Here is the article: http://www.wikihow.com/Choreograph-a-Great-Solo

My guess is that the greenhouses weren’t sure about whether you removed the tags or not, so that could be why the article showed up again in both of them. I also wonder if something could be in it (the article) that is causing this. @Anna ?

I don’t think the article has something in it. It happened ever since I joined wikiHow and tried the greenhouse (but at that time, I didn’t think of posting a bug report).

That article is no longer in the copyedit greenhouse, so I am assuming that the multiple edits out of that greenhouse arose a as a result of a lag in updating the copyedit queue. There is probably nothing wrong with additional edits out of the greenhouses (after the tag has been removed) unless the software doesn’t save all the edits properly. For this particular article, everything worked out marvelously.—There was a string of small, but awesome improvements which jumped the quality of the article dramatically.

Yep, I think @Alabaster has got it on this one – the queue just takes a day or so to match up, because it gets re-checked/updated at set intervals (nightly, I think). As long as additional edits are helpful and are being saved, I think we’re all good:slight_smile:

Anna has explained that this is not a bug, just that it takes a day or so for the queue to be updated, as it is done at a set interval. It has also been explained that this is not a problem, as long as helpful edits are made, and the articles does get removed from the greenhouse once that queue is updated.
