I just came across a project that has colors, and, there’s not even writing. Do pages really need to be designed? Especially discussion pages! =O Just, think it takes away the mission of the project. Thoughts? June Days

No writing on a project page…?:slight_smile:I don’t think they should be designed. I think it wastes the time, clogs up RC, and kind of gets away from the mission. I know I am probably not the person to say that, though.

Well, I just said that, so…=) June Days

Okay, that’s what I think about… NO.Why? —> Project pages doesn’t need to be designed. I even think they shouldn’t be designed. It really hurt my eyes (I’m sure others’, too). Even if it’s purple font and blue background color. You couldn’t believe what I do to see these projects. I even ask sometimes one of my friends to read the words for me! For discuss page… NO.Why? ----> Because we shouldn’t care about the discuss page, anyway. It’s a place to talk about the projects. And it shouldn’t be used a lot. Clear enough, huh?

Hmm, that is one of the few reasons why Project Hindi wikiHow does not have a project page! Anyways, I agree to you. Adding colours and designs takes away the mission of the project.

Okay, this is weird of me, but I think they can if the team wants to. Why? Because: 1. The team page makes the team unique in a way. Pages like http://www.wikihow.com/wikiHow:WikiEquine and http://www.wikihow.com/wikiHow:Team-Pokemon would feel “off” without the design. Yes, neon colors can get annoying, but most pages don’t have them. XD 2. Team pages don’t take up as much edits in the RC compared to decorating someone’s talk page/user page. Sorry if that sounds a bit confusing. XD I agree that discussion pages shouldn’t be decorated, though. Also, if a project only has colors on it, is it even considered a project?
