Hi everyone… What happened to the chat room? It’s been a long time that I can not connect. I was going to ask the admin. to correct the title’s spelling and I can not get in. Can you guys take care of this article’s title? http://www.wikihow.com/Clean-a-Refridgirator 'refrigirator" is the word.:slight_smile:If you tell me what happened to the chat room I’d appreciate it. We need the chat room to help us with the problem and questions. I e-mailed to Krystle regarding another article awhile ago but I am not sure if she got my mail - I have not heard from her. Thanks!

Moving to Help Using wikiHow. Sorry if you had any trouble connecting; we do have a chat room. http://irc.wikihow.com - If you can’t enter there, go to http://webchat.freenode.net and enter #wikihow in the channel box and connect. Any further problems and I’ll see if Thomas (a staff member) can help you. =) And, the article is a duplicate, but thanks for letting us know about IRC. =) June Days

The top link is what I always used, and it did not work. The second link seems to work. The article is not a duplicate. I am asking you guys to correct the title’s MISSPELL because I can not. Thanks, June.

@Laura7491 The title can not be “corrected” because the duplicated article has the “corrected” title already. Hence why I have added the duplicate tag, as well for the reason because the contents is very similar in nature to the existing one.

I understand Maluniu. Thanks.

Quick question… in the chat room I never used a ‘channel’ field before… What happens if I forget to enter the “channel” … it won’t connect me?

The channel field just specifies what channel you want to connect to. If you don’t enter one, you can still connect, but you won’t be in any channel. To join a channel, just use /join #channel And yes, irc.wikihow.com was down yesterday, but it appears to be functioning again.

You don’t need the pound-sign before the word wikihow. Freenode will correct for this “mistake”(if keystrokes/time is of the essence).

Pound sign? Where’s that?

He means hashtag. # Byankno1, it’s easier to use Freenode that way anyway, and I was just used to giving hashtags…No biggie. =) June Days

Hi KernelPole, it was not only yesterday… I 've been using<< irc.wikiHow.com >> for as long as I am with wiki and always connected… And one day, a few days ago, it could not connect … and NOT working since this day . The other link seems to be OK, don’t know yet. But I never used a “channel” field. This will be something first time to me. EDITING : I just tried the chat room and I did not put a ‘#’ and it still connected. Phewww… LOL
