While looking at the User creation log, I noticed this duplicate entry. Minor error, same user, same creation time.

I noticed this as well, but didn’t pay it much mind. Latest version of Chrome on Windows 7 laptop, if it helps.

No. I saw another user yesterday in the log. Welcomed one and both talk pages appeared as started from the log.

Second instance:I’m sure there are more. Just too lazy to sift through the log to past days.

@Krystle Yeah, there’s been more, but my computer’s being ridiculous and doesn’t want to take a screenshot.

Thanks, this might take a while to fix since it doesn’t seem have any negative consequences on the site, but it will get looked into. (bug report 586)

I believe this is a problem with crappy internet connection. It’s the exact same thing with duplicate posting on a forum. Slow internet or page loading = clicking more than once by impatient user. Doesn’t create a duplicate account, just makes it appear more than once in the log.

Actually, I have a very good Wi-Fi connection at the moment. It says 5 bars (or whatever they’re called).Right, I see what you mean, sorry!

Not what I meant. Crappy connection on the new user’s side. They click more than once while creating account.
