When hovering over the “Flag as…” button on community Q&A does not expand the menu to select an option, and when I click on it, the article just scrolls to the top, I have tried this in Firefox and Edge and the same thing happens both times.

Can you grab a screencast of what’s happening on your end? I just tried a couple of different flags on a couple of different articles and got the menu (in Chrome and FF), and confirmed they came through to the Fix Flagging tool, too. Perhaps there’s something going on in your exact setup that’s getting in the way, though - I’d love to try to reproduce the same results.

I have noted that if you “X” out of the explanation/details box after flagging something as “inaccurate” or “other”, it scrolls you up then… but not if you hit Submit or Skip, so that seems buggy. I’ve filed that part - thanks for the heads-up there:slight_smile:

It appears to only be broken on How to Get an Article Approved in wikiHow’s Quality Review , I tried it on other articles and it’s working, but not on that article. I’ll see if I can get a screencast.

Weird - I wondered if it was something like the punctuation in the title but actually it is still working for me, too. Can you try a reset browser, just to be safe (clearing your cache, in particular)? A screencast would still be fab too. Would love to get to the bottom of it, and seeing the exact steps really helps in figuring out if I can make the same behavior happen again. Thanks R2!

OK, here is a screencast: youtu.be/msZYhEEiTQE

I wonder if it’s a Windows issue? Anyways, it’s not that big of a deal, it only is broken on that specific article for me and it works on other articles.

(Sorry about the video quality)

I tried to reset my browser too, but it didn’t work.

Thanks R2! Okay, that video helped, and I managed to reproduce it… looks like it’s something related to having an account that can’t edit Q&As, but, as you said, it’s oddly working fine on other articles… For the moment, that’ll probably make it a lower prio bug investigation, so if you see it on other topics, can you let me know? I can bump the engineer’s report with more examples, if there are more out there!

OK, thank you, I will post here if I find any other articles that have this issue.

Hello, I know that it is against forum rules to bump threads, but I have relevant information to this thread and it would be pointless to create a new thread for this exact same issue, and I think that this qualifies for the exception to the rule. Also, I said that I would post here if I found any other articles that have the same bug that the one mentioned in this thread had, and I have found one. It appears that How to Protect Your Email Account From Hackers also has the same issue with flagging in Community Q&A.

No worries about the bump - thanks for the example! I’ll add this to the report. In the meantime if you need any answers changed, just drop me a talk message:slight_smile:

This should be fixed now, @R2_d2000 - thanks for finding the issue!
