In every place in the world there are haters but we can change that. Wikihow deserves to be a better place for the people who want to contribute and learn, I believe we shall send out warnings for the people who decide to use inappropriate language whether its being rude to staff or using censored language. I have seen this several times and i would like for all staff to keep their eyes open and keep cautious so we can change this behavior. Has anybody else seen this or is it just me?
By the way everybody has their own choice in what they think i am not going against anyone here
If you see anyone being inappropriate please stop it <in a kind way>

Hi, new to wikiHow :) Quick question - if I find a “cleanup” article that I feel is really offensive (not just the title, but the article itself), should I just skip it and leave it for someone else, or do I report it somewhere? How are these things handled? I just went to cleanup an article that I hoped wasn’t as bad as the title suggested, but it ended up being worse

Hey, welcome!You can skip it and nobody will know, but you can rewrite it (and even put a tag on it so that you’re the only one to edit it) or report it if it’s very offensive. Which sometimes it’s hard to judge so be cautious about that. Do you have an article in mind?

For reporting, you don’t really go to someone and report it. But of course if you’re unsure you can go to someone for help. To nominate an article for deletion (could be for offensiveness), put a tag on it (see this link https://www.wikihow.com/wikiHow:Deletion-Policy
) that has a certain reason for why you think it should be deleted.
I agree but I have never seen a hater on WikiHow.

then maybe you don’t do a lot of patrol? There are lots of trolls that pop up every now and then.

, thank you - I just saw your reply and I received a response from @SarahB
as well. I have followed the instruction on the Deletion page as you both suggested - it was an article stub that was assuming a hateful stereotype towards a specific ethnicity (one that happens to include several of my friends). I just couldn’t let it be, so I did tag it. Thanks so much for the advice and information. I was surprised by it, yes … but this is still the internet, so I guess I shouldn’t be. If this is something that tends to pop up on patrol (trolls and hater issues), perhaps I should look into helping with that. This is something I take very seriously.

I’ve read the article you are talking about and I’ve tagged it for deletion as I consider it offensive in respect of a specific ethnicity. You can see my comments on the article discussion page, and then I think we can leave it to go through the deletion process in about 7 - 10 days where Boosters and Admins will vote on it.
