Does wikiHow use Google Search for their search results?  I typed in “Recursion” and “Anagram” and got Google joke results.  Is it possible to switch to a different search engine like Bing or DuckDuckGo to get rid of those search results?

While a quick search of “Anagram” brings up a note asking “Did you mean Nag A Ram?” I think you already know that it would be pretty silly to waste significant engineering resources to make mass changes to our search tool because of a couple one-word searches that nobody would likely search for. There are lots of funny Google search tricks, and there are also similar tricks and jokes that you can be used on any search engine.

I know this is difficult, but I think you’ll really find it most enjoyable to dive into more community-oriented tasks such as the variety of activities available through the Community Dashboard . Seeking out mass changes to policy, procedure, or search tools - in this case - are ultimately going to end up being discouraging for you. I think you’ll find more satisfaction through other editing on the wiki.

It’s very clear you’re passionate about wikis, and it would be fantastic to see this passion further our mission!

I think it might actually be intentional.

@Eric okay.  I just was curious.  Close this thread now.
