Wow, I stumbled upon an interesting mission: cleaning up the Grand Images!
. According to the template
, these images were loaded before the formation of wikiHow. It might be a good thing to go through these images and re-license them. This will probably involve contacting the original authors and asking them to provide a license for the images in question.

These images were uploaded anywhere between 2005 and January 2007 (when wikiHow started their image policy). With that said, it would take a very longer time to get a specific answer on each image license. If anything, I would suggest anyone with an interest of image licensing to clean up the unlicensed image category ( http://www.wikihow.com/Category:Unlicensed-Images
).

Plus, the amount of the images kinda has to be taken into account. Contacting the original authors of thousands of images is a pretty huge task, and due to the time at which the images were uploaded, not all of the users who uploaded them are active here anymore… making this a little unfeasible perhaps

I’d like to know if wH has the same API hooks as mediawiki. If it does, this could be automated.
