Okay, so there’s this article that I came across, whilst browsing through the vast number of articles that need to be cleaned up. I do this very often, since I’m a bit obsessed with grammar. Here’s the link to it: http://www.wikihow.com/Get-Good-Marks-in-12th-Class-Board-Examination
. I know it’s about some sort of an examination, but I fail to comprehend a lot of the information here, due to the author’s atrocious grammar, and my lack of knowledge about these particular examinations. My apologies if I sound offensive. As I write this, I’m trying my hardest to rephrase the information in there, but I guess I failed miserably. Could someone please explain this article to me, so that I can edit it, to improve its quality, and actually make it worth being on this site? Thank you so much.
PS - If I categorized this wrongly, administrators may move this thread to a more appropriate category. Thanks.
Hey Alex,Loads of things,
- Start the article sentence with caps.
- Those steps that are of one line could be broken down to two or three lines. (The steps which is completely in bold letters.)
- Start the step with a verb. (This gives some concrete action plan for the readers).
- That which is between the first two steps (in grey) could be formatted to be in a step.
- The language sounds informal so that needs to be fixed.
- I dont think there is a need to have methods in the article. Just steps is enough
- Add related articles section.
- Add links to terms which have related article about it.
Thats all I understand. Do well. :)

Thanks, Vish. I know all that, but due to the poor English, I can’t understand a word. I just asked you guys to give me some further detail about the article and to explain the content to me. I can’t comprehend a word.

I had a bash at this. It didn’t take much research to add what I think are facts…needs someone who has done the exams to read it really. From what I saw doing research, they’re pretty common exams in India. If someone who has done the exams does happen to read it, I’d love to know if students have to answer in English or their native language. If you have to answer in English, the person who wrote the article is clearly taking the p*ss because he or she must of not got good grade because they can’t communicate in writing in English for sh*t…
Wow, A look at the article and it looks like its been reincarnated from rags to riches. But if the user who started the article gets a glimpse of the reviews so far, he may be utterly disappointed though.

Your edits to this article are great. Thanks.
I see that sure is allot of work to clean. I used to see this everyday when i tutored ESL students. I get the idea but it’s so out of context. Kudos to you nerd, you are the greatest. I’ll take some time and try and clean it a bit. I’m just afraid of it being deleted anyways.

@Ruben-Gabriel
yeah, it does have potential. If we all put in effort, it can definitely be a great article. The same goes for a lot of NFD’d or stubbed articles on this site. And thank you.
