I am stuck on the 2nd part of NAB test @Krystle
gave me! I read the title policy millions of times but still… It was no use. Can someone help me out??? Please?!?
Hi Ima, It’s good that you took the NAB test and are enthusiastic about it. But, to clear the NAB test, the policies help really well, and since, 2nd test usually contains “editing situations”, you have to think it for yourself. You must say what you would do, in such situation. Remember, NAB is notabout cramming policies and just passing it. And, if you aren’t able to clear it, it means that you need more experience to master your editing skills. Go around editing on wikiHow, trying different tools, reading policies, etc. And, you must also have lot of patience for it. Hope that helps. Please correct me if I’m wrong. ~Shina
@Wowcheng
, Hi! Thanks for posting in the forums. But, please refrain from advertising here.
@Shinako
Is there some sort of training for that? I checked something on your talk page related to that
It was for users who have already become New articles boosters. The best you could do is have patience, read the policies well, and understand it. ~Shina

The questions on the second part of the NAB test are not your usual science questions , where the answer is in the textbook, all you need to do is remember that and duplicate it on your answer paper. In the NAB test, You need to think for yourself. Use your powers of logical thinking and apply what you have learnt from reading the title policy. Regards, Abhishek

For the first part of the NAB test, suggest a title change which complies with the title policy. For the second, choose the correct answer. There isn’t much explanation needed here, really. Regards, Abhishek

He means to say, that you must think
it for yourself
, and just cramming up something won’t help. (like doing it for exams) You should follow your instinct and you must think logically and analytically. Hope that helps. ~Shina
Part 2 of the NAB test consists of the following: title changes and questions on various editing topics. For the title changes, you have a title and all you need to do is decide if it should be change (if so, to what?) or left alone according to the title policy (“Titles should describe the topic in its simplest and concise form”). For example: (not in the NAB test) “How to Become a Us Citizen” should be changed to… “How to Become a USCitizen” “How to Make Chocolate Chip Cookies (My Way)” should be changed to… “How to Make Chocolate Chip Cookies” with (My Way) removed. “How to Draw a Building” is correct and no change is needed. ----------------------------------------------- The editing questions are multiple-choice and self-explanatory.
A word of advice: For the title policy questions, if you see a question that you don’t know the answer to, you will probably be able to find the answer in the title policy, so I suggest looking at that. It helped me pass the NAB test.
It’s all pretty easy if you read the policies more carefully… most of the questions asked there are derived from the examples given in the policy page
Hope this helped.

And just so you know, Ima, I have some practice questions you can train with. If you’re really struggling with it. However, like other editors have said, I advise you work a bit more before continuing. Go ahead and do some RC Patrol or other things to get to know the site better if you have to.
Studying the policies is helpful, but I find *doing* things more is more helpful than *studying* them.
