I have had this problem ever since today. I found of picture of “Momo” (Do not search Momo up) and now I always feel like the creep is always behind me. What can I do to forget about it?

Momo was a trend started by clickbait Youtubers for money. There have been several videos debunking it. But if you do not feel safe, talk with a local councilor or your parents.

The good news is that these fears usually fade over time. Next week, “Momo” may only be a passing thought now and then.

Until then, it’s okay to do little things that make you feel safe. You can turn on lights and sit with your back to a corner. Try snuggling with a pet, loved one, or stuffed animal. Wrap yourself in blankets and do something nice (like watching a show or playing a game) that helps you feel relaxed.

You can tell people “I saw something scary on TV and it’s bothering me a lot.” Then ask them if they could keep you company, or give you a reality check, or whatever else might help.

Remember that Momo isn’t real. It’s probably a costume (though I’m taking your advice on not searching Momo… though you could look it up yourself). People invented Momo because some people think it’s fun to be scared. But for you it isn’t fun, so try to avoid scary stories or videos in the future. (I get scared of horror and stuff too, and I avoid it. Once I read the “Dear David” story at night and I had to call my brother so he could remind me it was fake. Spoiler alert: he said it was very easy to fake. I don’t think about Dear David very much anymore.)

I know it’s scary now. It will get less scary over time. Until then, take good care of yourself and talk about your feelings to a good listener if you can.

I also found an article for you that I think may help a little
