hi im just new and wanted to ask you some questions:
What are patrols?
How can i help?
DO you have a FAQ?
Hello Darren, Welcome to wikiHow.
- Patrolling is checking each change made to the articles. We, as users, patrol every message, edit to the article, patrol the images (if they are good for the article) etc. So basically patrolling is done on wikiHow to approve what is appropriate and delete what is unnecessary or not very useful.
- You can visit the site as those options are not available here on the forums. There is an option called EXPLORE. In this you could find the tab Community Dashboard. http://www.wikihow.com/Special:CommunityDashboard
You could choose from many options like correct wrong spellings, rate articles if they are complete or incomplete, check grammar of the articles, do patrolling etc.
- We have articles made for any question you may have for FAQ. Just type in your question like : “How to write an article” or just “write an article” in the search bar of wikiHow. All your questions could also be answered by us users like you, admins of wikiHow and the staff of wH.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Thanks
Or go to http://www.wikihow.com/Category:WikiHow
There are lots of articles there that answer questions on how to do things here on the site.
In addition to @Vishwavijay
’s comment, when you patrol images on wikiHow, you’re patrolling user-submitted completions of the topic of an article. Also, you can consult wikiHow’s Glossary
for info on terms used on wikiHow!
