I got onto this website because I wanted to make friends.

That’s cool!

I got onto wikiHow because it helped me first time a few years back, and I decided to return the favor:smiley:

I hope you like wikiHow, @MadelineC ! If you need any help on the main site, I would be happy to help

“I’ve known of wikiHow’s existence for years. I used to contribute anonymously in my free time, usually clearing out the Spellchecker and helping approve questions. One day, several years later, I found wikiHow again while searching for help on a math problem, and it was at that moment that I knew I needed to create an account.” I typed that response for the wikiHow Herald a few months ago.

My first encounter with wikiHow is probably when I was around ten. Much later, I installed a wikiHow app on my phone (it’s probably fake). Since the app did not work well, I searched up for the actual site. As soon as I found it, I joined!

I’ve been using wikiHow for about two years because it always had what I was looking for.  And then, one tragic day, it didn’t  (Cue gasps!)!  So I made an account, wrote a (terrible) article, and yeah, it’s been four months now!

Same here, except about writing the article I needed help on. I just can never seem to write an article on something I’m needing to learn about myself. xD

well,I was bored, nothing to study, out of my mind,so,was searching the whole google what to do when bored, and once it showed ‘‘Use wikis or google-here are 10 wikis that are actually worth trying’’,and this one was the 10th one,so did it.In my life, first is the last and last is the first xd

Google Chrome, obviously.

Just kidding.

I was bored in class, read an article on here about combating boredom in class, and wanted to add some of my own methods of curing boredom.

This next story is more about my first experiences on wikiHow here on my part, but here ya go:

On my first week, I was incredibly  over-eager and did some real stupid things. My second-third week here, I did some things that just outright ignored policies and guidelines, because I still didn’t know how the heck wikiHow worked. Ah, whatever, fast-forward 3-4 months and you’ve got a person who has definitely shown growth. However, I would prefer to leave my first couple weeks on wikiHow very very very very very  far behind.

It’s okay, my first edits and contributions were also mega cringy. Don’t worry about it.

I used to see these articles pop up when I researched how to do something. After a while, I noticed that I could create an account and help contribute. I remember thinking Oh man, I’d love to contribute to such an amazing website!
And now I’ve been here 5 months. I think it’s almost time for my 6-month wikiBirthday, if anyone wants to create a birthday thread like they did for my friend @Snowflakeiesta
