I’ve noticed animated videos on this article ( http://www.wikihow.com/Download-and-Install-Google-Chrome
) and I’m wondering how these were created/uploaded. They are not GIFs or any other image format. I came across an issue recently where my changes to an article were being reverted since I replaced some of these embedded videos with static images. (In fact, it involved this article) These may be a little more helpful than images and it would be cool if I could do these.
Oh, no. I mean the images of the steps of the article. How did they upload those short clips?
Those video clips are made by Wikivisual, a group of staff members/interns who capture photos or make illustrations for articles. Most articles will get static images, but some strictly instructional articles (like recipes) will get the video clips. You can send a request at http://wikihow.com/User_talk:Wikivisual
Thanks. It would be nice if normal uses can upload their own videos.
@NO
USERNAMES AVAILBLE I agree but if we upload videos on a article then the reader won’t read the text only the clip and sometimes authors don’t match the clip with the text.
