READ THIS BEFORE POSTING A BUG REPORT: Thank you so much for taking your valuable time to post a bug report. We greatly appreciate your effort. Here are some tips for posting to this forum. Always provide as much relevant detail as possible, and give specific details. Detail is really helpful in assisting us in narrowing down your problem. If you tell us the exact steps that you took to produce a problem, and any other relevant details (whether you were logged in, etc), that would be great. Since the code base is complex, sometimes problems can only reproduce on very particular sequence of steps. For example, you might have a problem with diffs not working, we might check out recent changes and find they appear to work fine, but you had the problem when clicking on a diff from the page history. Add these details in will definitely help us fix the problem quicker. Post a URL to the problem you are referring to. When posting a problem, please post a URL, or an example of article that has the problem. Otherwise it’s hard to diagnose something without seeing an example and time consuming to find that example on my own. Include your browser and current Operating system. This will help to see if a problem is wikiHow related or software related (e.g. Windows XP and Firefox). One easy way to do this is to use: https://aboutmybrowser.com/
and include the link they give you with your bug report. Take screenshots, if possible. Screenshots or screencasts are always appreciated, we love them! You can can upload your screenshot just as you would upload a regular image to wikihow and then either just post a link to the image, or include the image directly in the forum posting. For more info on taking screenshots, see: http://www.wikihow.com/Take-a-Screenshot-in-Microsoft-Windows

The wikiHow engineers do read ALL postings to this forum, so if we don’t respond at first, don’t fret, we will definitely either respond or begin looking into your problem in the near future. Thanks for all the help in posting your problems to the Tech Feedback section!

I’d also like to add that if a bug can’t be captured with a screenshot, make a screencast instead. http://wikihow.com/Record-a-Screencast-with-Screencast-O-Matic
