When I choose a picture from my computer, It shows me the same picture that I already kept. I submitted the picture that I want to make as my profile picture. But it says “no file chosen”

I also have this problem, it worked after about 15 tries on one of my pictures but I decided to change the picture and it didn’t work at all.
Strange, I recently changed mine and it worked fine.
Strangely enough, I kept getting the same thing but in one instance I managed to get the new picture to show up but make the thing still say “No file selected”. Despite that it still changed my profile picture.

Thanks Awesome-Blossom - I had a report of this at the end of last week, too, and gave it a go. It seemed to work some of the time for me but not others, so something inconsistent must be happening behind the scenes. I filed a bug for one of our engineers to dig a little deeper. Thanks for the note about it!
I too had that problem but then it went on successfully.

Ok, I just changed mine. There seems to be some glitch so if you want to overcome it just until it fixes, this is what I did:

Click on the ‘remove’ button on your profile. Do NOT click ‘change’

I’m having a profile picture glitch. I changed my profile picture, but sometimes I’m seeing the old one even though I never changed back to the old one.
^ On wikiHow or the forums? If it’s on the forums it takes FOREVER for them to come. I changed mine and it still hasn’t showed up. Mine is supposed to a profile of spaghetti tacos but it’s still the slushie.

I do expect that folks will have some inconsistencies here - it seems to be bugging out for some people and not others, and more importantly going back and forth between old and new avatars as you reload the page - frustrating, I know!
WHS’s workaround might work in the meantime for some folks… but that all being said, our engineers are working on it! It’s not as quick a fix as one might hope, but hang in there and hopefully it can be sorted out soon

Ok, we’re hopeful that a fix that’s out now should help. If you’re giving it a go, I’d try removing your image and re-adding from scratch. To get the forums to update, too, you’d want to log all the way out and back in after you update your image. Hopefully that does the trick!

I have had a similar problem, I changed my picture and it kept loading the same one I had previously then when I submitted it, it didn’t change whatsoever. To fix this, I cleared my browsing history and cache, maybe you can try doing the same for this situation?
