I was thinking that there could be a clock added if the wikiHow logo and search bar was moved to the right and in between the “edit” dropdown and the “search” button there was a clock. It would have the date and UTC time (in military) and under that we could have the user’s specified time.

Interesting idea. But why exactly do we need this? Don’t most users’ desktops have a clock in the corner of the screen?

@Isorhythmic The user’s specified clock is for their own use. The other clock would be synced to the server time, so if you see an edit, you can just scroll up and see how long ago the edit was made without having to convert time zones. Desktop clocks aren’t always set to UTC and probably aren’t formatted in 24 hour time.

But you can set your time zone offset in preferences ( http://www.wikihow.com/Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-datetime ) … so all edits will show up with your local time. Still don’t see the need…

@Isorhythmic Oh sorry, your right. I always thought it displayed the server time. This discussion can be closed.

No problem!
