Somehow my IP has been blocked. I’m not able to edit articles, nor do anything on wikiHow. This is the message I get: Your IP address has been automatically blocked because it was used by another user, who was blocked by Davecrosby. Reading that block message, many of you may feel I created a fake account called ‘Khusi Kumari’. It is not so. That account was not mine, but accidently our IPs became same. I request you all to believe me that, that account wasn’t mine.
I’ll look into it. This just might be a bug related to our DDoS. Can you email me so I can do more testing with you?

Weird. I guess you could have been banned. Have you gotten in trouble for using copyrighted images? Chatting? Cursing? Could be banned, but if you are I don’t know how you are using your user right now so I very, very highly doubt it.

Whatever pictures I upload are created by me (not a single copyvio warning till date, well there was one but that was removed), I don’t chat about general topic, and I don’t curse people. I could not even spot my name in the block log so I hope
I have not been banned. As Jack told, could be a bug related to DDoS and I’ll mail him in a moment to get it fixed.

Turns out it was an issue with one of the four IP address that Cloudflare tunnels through. Cloudflare is a service that wikiHow uses to speed up and help secure the site. After the DDoS, some things got messed up. Anyway, good that it got fixed.

Yes, while your IP is blocked, you will not be able to edit anything (not even talk page messages). A while ago, I was in the same situation as you but I’m fine now. It’ll be over soon, don’t worry. wikiHaus is working hard to get rid of the DDoS attacks. Things you can do while your IP is blocked: 1) Think of new article(s) to write. You can write it after you have been unblocked. 2) Do a bit of testing and report it to wikiHow staff members which will help them tackle this DDoS attack. 3) Relax, enjoy your time off-wikiHow. 4) IRC!
