Mike - can you explain? I’m not sure I understand this bug, or the initial incarnation

I reported this back in the old forums
. When you import an image from a free source (e.g. wikimedia) using the import free image tool, it names the image “Undefined” instead of using the source image name.

Ah, got it. Thanks. So, this happened in December. Then it stopped for a long time, then you noticed it again recently? Or do you think it’s been this way since December?

According to Travis
, this was fixed. So I assumed it was fixed. Didn’t import images since then until recently.

Hey Mike, I’m having trouble reproducing this. I went to edit an article and used the “add image” button, and the three images I imported came in with normal filenames (not undefined). Can you explain to me in more detail when/how this happens? Or record a screencast? Here’s a screencast of what I did: http://screencast.com/t/nLqlfzrSN
If you don’t have screencasting software feel free to use my account (login krystle@wikihow.com

This happens when you try to import a FREE image using the tool: http://www.wikihow.com/Special:ImportFreeImages
1) Search for some image. 2) Import image. 3) Profit. I usually import from wikicommons. Flickr seems to have their own issues.
Thanks Mike. I filed a bug report ( #506
)
