While doing some wikiSleuth/WikiGnome sleuthing, I ran past the Template:Xboxbuttonsource
template which is listed on the Unused Templates page. It’s not listed included on any page. However, while looking through some tracks of where it’s link leads in WhatLinksHere, I found a message by the original creator to a former Staff Member at PDX (Portland). Although PDX never got back to the original creator (or at least the original reply was deleted and I can’t seem to find this reply), according to https://www.wikihow.com/index.php?title=User_talk%3ACQinPDX&type=revision&diff=17210865&oldid=17209783
, they asked PDX to help finish up the Xboxbuttons template - found at Xboxbutton
.
But looking through Xboxbutton, I found some history to PDX’s change. When PDX originally revised the original button, they removed the link to the “source” template and used a “core” template (which is currently valid and included-inuse) as stated here
.
However, while “source” further underwent some protection in 2020, being “source” is unused and seems to have been further established in another format that is currently valid, can someone please delete this “Xboxbuttonsource” template?
(Ahead of the deletion, let me thank you in advance.)
I will be more than happy to field questions on my User_talk page, because might be confusing to some, if they seem not to be able to follow along, given some of my semi-abbreviations.

Tagging some people who will have knowledge of this template, who are still somewhat active here. (Most of the users who were involved took off for greener pastures elsewhere.

Sorry, I don’t have any recollection of this template or the intended purpose.

Considering it’s not used anywhere, I went ahead and deleted it. If any issues come up, we can reinstate
