Hi everyone,
I stumbled upon the article Make Vegan No Bake Cookies
and a few images on it are sideways or even upside down. I was wondering if we can edit existing images on our website? Or would the images need to be reuploaded with the correct orientation?

They would need to be properly positioned before being uploaded, so they would need to be uploaded again.

Okay! If I were to download the existing photos, position them correctly, and then reupload them, would that be all I needed to do? Also, would I be required to delete the original photos after uploading the correct ones?

You should also make sure to provide the original licensing information from the images before they were cropped correctly. You could also add a note when you upload the images that you just rotated them. Once new images are uploaded, we can delete the old images.

Thank you for the information
I did discover something intriguing, though. While I was going through the article’s history to find the original uploader, I found out that clicking on the photos in question would show them in their correct positions. Click here
to see what I am talking about. I scrolled down that edit and clicked on the sideways/upside down photos, only to see them flipped correctly. However, when I return to the article itself, the images are flipped sideways/upside down again. I’m unsure as to what the cause of this is.

I took a look at the first image and it looks like the image is indeed sideways: Image:IMG_8hhh123.jpeg - wikiHow

That’s the weird thing. When I go back to this edit
here, the first picture is oriented correctly, and the other photos have been fixed too. But the article in its current state doesn’t reflect that?

You may need to view the actual image, not an image preview like you have provided in your screenshot. The actual image as it was uploaded is what will display on the article. You can find the images at Image:Example.jpg - wikiHow

I see. Thanks for clarifying! I’ll go ahead and position them correctly on my end before reuploading them. I will let you know as soon as that’s done.
