Hey there!

In the past, women have been discriminated against, not allowed to do normal things (such as go to school. You have to remember, Malala was shot in the head only 9 years ago), and have had to work extra hard just to get jobs and to be accepted into colleges. In fact, women are still no given equal rights (at least not in the US). I listen to lots of true crime and I have noticed a pattern - young and old women are taken against their will and are sexually assaulted, harassed, beaten, and treated like toys. Not actual living things. We are thought to be helpless and incompetent. Even now, male actors make more than female actresses (even if they did the same amount of work or more than the male). Women are judged because they are women.

And I’d say its worse for black/brown women. They are judged both on their race and gender, rather than their actual personality.

Women spend hundreds per year on period products (oh another thing! Some men make fun of women about their period). That adds up a lot! “Results revealed the average woman surveyed spends $13.25 a month on menstrual products ‒ that’s $6,360”. What if they are allergic to one brand and need a more expensive brand? What if they have to buy more? What if they don’t have money?

People may say “Women are treated equally”, but they are wrong.

I agree. Woman should have equal rights, and even though people say they already do, there are many things where woman are not given equal rights. I mean think about it, in sports or the Olympics, most of the contestant are male, not female.
