The name says it all. You make a poem, in which you describe a person’s personality in deep ways, making it poetic of course, but not imitating the human form:slight_smile:That has to be a surprise for the dedicated person.:slight_smile:Enjoy!

In the hall two blondes sat Waiting for some dance instruction Players going in to bat They created some distraction Melba had an hourglass figure Much admired and the fates conspired To give blue eyes and a slash of lips Where passionate kisses might reside Smart legs A model figure Added fodder to the sex driveIn short a raving beauty Who behaved and did her duty Once in a while Her companion Catherine A curvaceous woman Seemed quiet by comparison And to the shallow eye Less a damn good try But men of experience Never passed her by Sensing in her a high That made her look pre-RaphaeliteIt was their first night at Tetroc Now summoned to the battle Lines were drawn Men down one side Women down the other Each to each potential lover The big blowsy blonde on stage Treated her partner like a toy She’d bedded several of the boysHalf her age but dancing was her lust Now a hundred people placed their trust In what she taught for partnered sport Barking imprecations through her radio mike Giving hope and 30 seconds before moving on The girls like merchandise in front of men Permission to touch has made them virgin Kathy K did not appear till later Beginners moves not now her thing The music was dire Some men were appalling But every Tuesday night she’d try to call in Especially with her love life stalling Well Kathy K my beauty Are we going to pull tonight? Will some boy scout do his duty? A much wronged woman put to rights Hey! Black guy ten o’clockIs it true what they say? Or is it just a load of co*k? I’ll find out anyway Damn! Two new girls on the block Blondes at twenty paces They’re bound to get the men to flock With those figures and those faces Yup There he goes Wastes no time into action The plumper one’s up on her toes She’s smiling just a fraction Oh No! Flabby hands Here he comes As though he’s doing me a favour Shall I dash off with the runs? Or say I’m going into labour? Well Thank God that’s over He doesn’t give a bloody lead But his piggy eyes go roving Leered at by a useless weed Hang on! HE’S coming my way Stick around looking dumb Now steel yourself Kathy K Eye contact Smile Nice bum Good hands Soft but firm Dance with decorurn honey Even if you’d like to squirm  Wow! What was that? I’m whirled around I’m nearly flat. But at the door there’s some commotion Some guy’s trying to get in Sorry says the door girl firmly Tetroc refuses their permission A dapper dark hair weaselled man With darting eyes and small moustache Kathy tells Ed sotto voce What this thing is all about Weasel man formed rival breakaway Banned for teaching Tetroc moves Blowsy woman a control freak What does banning ever prove O K so the guy’s obnoxious Both of them stuck in a groove Dancers should explore all options Catherine Melba join these two Plus Geoff: Discussion starts anew He claims it starts from one same cause - Blame the muse Welcome to Dance Wars!   to kathy  k and michael (my mates from university)

@Josephmcfadden , this was forum was created to post positive poetic verses about people not in the human form but describing their personalities in a positive way, something that’s sensible and not offending. I please advise you to NOT write stories or essays, but POETRIES.

I don’t know if this poem made sense or if it passed the criteria but I want to dedicate it to my special someone. I’ll make him read this someday. “My Star” By: I Love Almonds The star that shines so brightly to me That I’ve always been hoping to see But the star I’ve been yearning is so far You, my love, is that star Whenever I’m being swallowed down by darkness I looked up and saw the only star filled with brightness The twinkling light that you always emit Have always made me swept off my feet But there are moments where I couldn’t see you When the stormy cloud come and separate us And the rain of loneliness begin to pour That’s when I start missing you Your light has always led me whenever I get lost And the darkness of fear would start to flee So even if I’m in a middle of a vast sea Just following you could send me to a safe coast I feel lonely and heartbroken, my star For I know I’m not destined to be with you Remembering this always reopen my scar But it doesn’t matter 'cos  my only star is you.

That was pretty awesome:slight_smile:

A glow of light

By Fathyma

A shine that came to me from a far-off glow,

An item which I had never experienced before,

Nearing it, I saw it there,

A lovely glisten of a golden ray,

A ray of hope, love and dedication,

A ray full of joy, happiness and strength,

A ray that promised a forever glow,

A streaming strike of lightning would not,

Compare to the shine it let off,

My world changed just because of a thing,

A slight streak which I though would be,

Lost to me forever,

But I found it,

Enduring many hardships,

I believe in now that,

Hardship always repays a man,

May it be good may it be bad,

But always will life give you,

A dose of what you did.

^Beautiful

Life is tough, so many lessons to learn. You meet some and some take a turn.

Theres pain and wrath, all part of one life.To prosper and move on, we all strive.

Losing touch with much in the hustle and bustle.Thinking of being a hero and dreaming of a castle.

When one day my dream comes true,This world will be like never before only happiness and no blues.

^Lovely, I adore the picture!

Thank you:slight_smile:

A quiet, cool, and dim-lit room
Drop by drop the slick tears pool
You cry at life you cry for death
As you lay there in your bed
When softly and deftly the shadows thicken
And grasp your hand as you lay stricken
But fear not for they mean no ill
They caress your skin as you lay still
Your shadow, that omnipresent thing
With a message to you it brings
No matter your struggles no matter your woes
Because of all people, it was you it chose
So quiet your sobs and bottle your tears
And save them for later and future years

^Wow.

^^That is world-class emotion capture, @TetheredAvian74 ! I think your poem is fabulously excellent.

Fabulous !! You go girl!

Within all the odds you stand,

One of a kind you are,

Has a wild temptation,

Can be only one an mighty,

Magnificence surrounds the majestic eagle,

O’eagle for that you know,

You have the capability,

The strength to fight against,

All that does not be-side you,

You have endeavors,

Plenty of them to,

Fight against,

They are so many,

But you can conquer!

You light up a path,

That no one dared to enter,

Due the darkness it held,

But all that changed,

With one you.

^was not a masterpiece! @TetheredAvian yours is emotion filling!

@Vishwavijay @Alabaster @Mano365 Thanks! I’m actually surprised this turned out so well; I’m normally rubbish at poetry.

I think that was amazing! It was very inspiring; I loved it!

That was beautiful!

@TetheredAvian thanks! And you are not rubbish at poetry. Everyone has a hidden talent, this is yours:slight_smile:

^Exactly. @TetheredAAvian74   Thanks. And I kinda am very sure by now that you are an amazing writer. No doubts.

Death

This is a birthday where Light was born.
Days got brighter but people were torn.
I wonder who died and for whom,
I wonder who won and what.
I live and praise in hope for the day,
Where I see beyond sight and meet beyond existence.
Wherever this day will take us or just take me,
I may fall, sway and be taken away.
I will never cease to hope and pray
And hope to see and meet you today!
Before death takes me away,
before brutes kills me as prey.
Wake up, call me, break the boundaries,
My heart, soul and being calls you,
Will you meet me if I wait and say please?

Oh god, it’s so sad:frowning:but very inspiring and touching.
