Well, I guess I have some (from my medical knowledge of watching Doctor Mike videos and watching medical shows as a kid lol):
- When you’re reviving someone with no heartbeat, you’re supposed to use CPRonly. You do notshock the person with the defibrillator since that only works to reset abnormal heart rhythms (ones that beat too fast/slow or are irregular)!
- Getting sunburned 5 times can doubleyour risk of getting skin cancer!
- Golden blood (Rh null) is the rarestblood type in the whole world.
- A small amount of people with autism have savant syndrome, which makes them extremely skilled in one particular subject. They are portrayed a lot as geniuses in popular culture (like Shaun Murphy The Good Doctor
, he was an autistic savant and he could envision the inside of the human body in a lot of detail without looking at any photos)
- There are a bunch of rare diseases I’ve heard of, like a disease nicknamed “ Treeman syndrome
”, where thick, hardened lesions form on your skin and make you look like tree bark.
- And another congenital skin condition named harlequin ichthyosis. Babies born with the condition have really thick scale-like skin that restricts their ability to breathe/move. The skin cracks and their sensitive, reddish skin is exposed. Thankfully, there are treatments that allow their skin to soften/fall off in the modern day. If you’re sensitive to stuff, I advise you to not search up actual photosof that condition, especially newborns with it.They look frightening at first sight. I did 2 years ago since it was in a list titled, “Things You Should Not Google” and I got scared for a while lol.
