As of now, the ability to send kudos to the authors is in a very small link at the bottom of the page, amongst other links. I believe receiving kudos for an article I contibuted to is always a great feeling. However, I feel as if the link is easily missable. Maybe it could be made a little bit more noticeable?
Yeah, good idea! =) June Days

Maybe the link could be placed up near the “Edits by” under the title?
That’s all I got.
It could also be in that speech bubble with the thing about Google Plus.
Yep, I recently sent some first fan mail that has probably been the first to be received in a long time, and I definitely agree that more people should know about this feature. However, I don’t think that fan mail should be sent to every
contributor of the article, just the people who have received thumbs ups on their edits. People vandalize and make such minor contributions that the value of the fan mail would decrease more and more
I got more fan mail! It’s being used
Great idea @WikiRicardo

I agree. Receiving kudos is fun.
I’d like to bump this thread back up for more opinions.

I’m of the opinion that if I have to ASK for a compliment, it lowers the value of the compliment I receive. Because of that opinion, I’m not enthused about the idea of “raising awareness” or “more exposure” or whatever it is we’re calling it. You are welcome to any differing opinion of your choosing.

Why only the people whom have received thumbs up? This isn’t a club. Everyone should be able to receive equal amounts of gratitude towards an article, no matter how big or small their contribution was. Just IMHO, all contributions/jobs are equally the same, even if it’s an entire rewritten format to save it from deletion to spending a few seconds categorizing it.
Meh, to me, I have never expected nor “want” compliments. Every single edit I have made or find on wikiHow has taught and/or is teaching me something new every day. That’s all I want; nothing more, nothing less.
