I was studying up on taking the NAB test (out of curiousity), and learned that the second part has to be e-mailed. Unfortunately, I don’t want to disclose my current e-mail address. If I were ever to take the test, what would I have to do in order to take the second part? (By the way, I am not likely to take it in the near future…but I will start studying the policies.)

If you’re not interested in divulging your current e-mail address (which by the way, is kept strictly confidential by wikiHow), you could create an alternative address/account simply for ‘wikihow stuff’

@IShareMahKnowledgeWisely : You could create an alternate email account just for wikiHow, which is basically what I did. Just go to gmail.com , logout if you already have a Gmail account, and create a new email address. You might choose IShareMahKnowledgeWisely@gmail.com , or something else.

Thanks! I think I might use Gmail, thanks for bringing it up! Now I have to find a how to article on how to use Gmail…

I read it, thanks. My e-mail is set up. Now all I have to do is study for the NAB test, considering I meet the requirements for the first part.

what exactly do u mean when you say “study”? how do you prepare for it?

Easy. I have to read up on policies, such as the Title and Merge policies. I’ve already been here for more than a month, and I’ve made over 300 contributions, so once I’m done studying I’m ready to take the test.

That would be correct actually. How to Become a New Article Booster on wikiHow: A Full Tutorial

@Metsguy234 how much different could it really be?

Back then, we typed on typewriters… walked uphill to school… both ways… in the snow… barefoot…:stuck_out_tongue:

According to early history of become a booster, it says you can put the links of the articles on Jack’s talk page.

@Loiswade42 You do know I was alive two years ago, right? **LIKE**

@ AndrewG:smiley: @Metsguy Yeah… the delivery method has changed… but the concepts remain the same.

You don’t really have to study hard for it; you just have to know policies, and some contributors don’t.

When did you take the test? i mean you have been a NAB for how many years now?

The NAB test was much more basic back when I took it.

You got a test and took it. I don’t remember qualifications being necessary, or people studying intensely for it. All I did was get sent a quick test in Google Docs which I took and then sent back off. Edit- Also, you didn’t have to actually go and edit articles. Not that the change is bad, but I’m just saying the process is different now than how I remember it being.
