I was thinking that we should create a new template for when users create articles that are not how-to’s. If we create this template, then I think it should say something like this: Hello there {{BASEPAGENAME}}! I saw you started the article (Insert article with link here). Sadly, I had to put it up for deletion because it is not a how to article (remember, wikiHow is a how-to site). Sorry, and thank you for spending your time on wikiHow. Next time, please write how-to articles so we can reach our goal. Thanks! I have been seeing more and more articles that are not how-to’s, and I think that it would really help if we left those authors this message. Thoughts?

What’s wrong with {{nfd|not}}?

This is the current message when you post {{nfd|not}} on a talk page:_Hello! I noticed that an article you started doesn’t really follow an instructional format. Can I offer some advice to help it from getting deleted? Since we’re a how-to site, it’s important that in each of the steps of the article, you give the reader an action to take. It’s good to provide background information, but without actual instructions, it’s more of an encyclopedia or blog entry than a how-to. Can you revise the article with this in mind? Let me know if you have any questions, or if there’s anything I can do to help. For more information and tips on writing on wikiHow visit our [[Writer’s Guide]]._I think it’s good as is.

Okay! I didn’t know that there was already a template. Sorry.
