Hmm, not an awful idea. The current way of making FAC candidates isn’t very efficient and leaves a lot of articles sitting alone for a while. http://wikihow.com/Nominate-an-Article-for-Featured-Article-Status
I could see something like this being stickied in the same way the current article promotion thread is.
I think this would be good as well. I have a few FAC’s that haven’t been looked at since the beginning of the summer.
Even I will support this idea. I request admins to please create a forum for this cause so that the articles can get the position they deserve as soon as they can.

Sound like just one more place for the FA team to look when editing. Why not just leave it “as is” so that they don’t have to go looking hither and yon for the candidates? Conservation of energies and all that.
