At this point, we have {{illustrations}} and {{pictures}}, but no {{screenshots}}. I believe that breaking down the templates to this level would help them get fulfilled. There are people who like to draw and others like to take pictures. If someone has the software to take screenshots, they probably won’t want to sift through all of the articles with templates, to find the ones that need screenshots.

I would like others to have some official input because we are trying to go towards a community based set of templates…

i wouldn’t mind having a template specificly for screenshots, especially for like articles about photoshop,or other computer programs.

I’d support the creation of this template. It’d be great if it linked to our pages on how to take screenshots, too.

I’m not very experienced with wikiHow, but as you know I like making templates so if you tell me what to do I can try to help. I just don’t know what the other two look like so you’d have to show me. Great idea!!!

No, they aren’t. Pictures you could find on the creative commons to make your point. Illustrations are drawings.

I also think we should have a separate category for articles in need of illustrations. That way the people who are specifically interested in screenshots/illustrating don’t have to sift through the huge pictures category to find something to work on. This would need to be proposed in the category forum. I’d like to get some feedback too before going in that direction. So…thoughts? Also, it’d be nice to have an article on how to take screenshots for wikiHow. It should be a comprehensive guide, showing how to take screenshots AND how to upload them, so that the person doesn’t have to bounce around from page to page. It could probably be assembled from existing articles. Anyone interested in writing it?
