Vanilla (our forums provider) recently announced that polls can now be added to forum threads . It was mentioned that the polls option can easily be turned on in the administrative dashboard. Just wanted to let the engineers, admins, and everyone else know about this new feature.

Sweet! And I have the admin tools here, but I don’t have a dashboard. I imagine that the wH staff would have to turn it on to use the polls feature.

Cool feature! But we won’t automatically get it. It would require that we upgrade to the new version of Vanilla forums. And that isn’t currently on the priority list.:frowning:

It seems we wouldn’t be able to get this even if we upgraded, it says "“It’s currently exclusive to the hosted platform and there is no ETA for release.” We don’t have a hosted plan, we host our own forums, so no polls for us:frowning:

Yeah it’s a little confusing. wikiHow administrators are moderators on the forum. Forum administrators are wikiHow staff, I believe.
