Hey everyone! I made a new template that I think could be helpful for others to use. I unfortunately don’t know how to change the bottom to say that is it from the user sending it. Would it be good for wikiHow? Tell me your thoughts!
It won’t let me add a photo of the template it. So, I added the link to the page. Please do not edit it!

I wouldn’t be against the template if this came up more often, but as-is we generally encourage people to either test things on the Sandbox discussion page or on a benevolent sockpuppet’s Talk page, rather than using someone else’s. So I don’t really see where this would be used.

Agreed with Alex. This template is extremely situational, and it’s easy to make a sock for testing purposes. If you absolutely must use someone else’s talk page, it would be better just to write out the message yourself.
I believe that this could be considered a form of talk page spam. The template doesn’t ask for permission to the user page, it says that you will use the page, and if the user doesn’t like it, then they can tell you after the fact
Also, I would recommend just writing something like, “Hello, can I please use your talk page to test a template?” if you’d like to do this. But that is so short that I don’t think that it requires a template.

Yes, I agree with Alex and R2. The template is not used very often, or not at all.

I agree. This template doesn’t seem like it will be used often. People don’t usually test templates on other people’s talk pages, and it seems pretty rude to do so.
