Whenever I’m in NFD Guardian, every one or two articles I vote on, it will say error creating title (id# 1728879) , oops, please refresh It’s kind of irritating… I’m on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS using Chrome.

That’s happened to me once or twice on Google Chrome, but not that often so I never paid much attention.

@IsabelleZita It does it to me ALL THE TIME. It gets annoying. I spend half the time I’m on it just trying to get it to work.

That’s annoying. :<

Yup.

It’s happened to me a couple of times when I used to use the tool.

@KernelPone Does it happen if you try another browser, like Firefox? Just trying to figure out if it’s a browser-specific issue.

Definitely happens for me quite often on Chrome

It’s happened to me on my Firefox.

I’ve never had this message; Windows Vista, Chrome 20.0 (and a quite a few previous iterations).

@Krystle It still does it on Firefox too. Just as bad as on Chrome.

Happens to me always. Atleast ten of these messages pop up when I do NFD Guardian. On Windows 7, IE 9

Well. Here’s the block of code that grabs the next article…
// asks the backend for a new article //to patrol and loads it in the page function getNextNFD() { $.get('/Special:NFDGuardian', {fetchInnards: true, nfd_type: getCookie('nfdrule_choices'), }, function (result) { loadResult(result); }, 'json' ); } Dunno why I posted it…

I never got that error message. I’m using Google Chrome and Mac OS X Lion:slight_smile:

That’s not an error message. It’s the code that your browser executes to get the next article to vote on.

@KernelPone can you record a screencast for me? http://www.wikihow.com/Record-a-Screencast-with-Screencast-O-Matic Feel free to use my account: username: krystle@wikihow.com password: omgwikihow

I’ll see what I can do.

Sorry @Krystle , doesn’t look like it’s going to work. Whenever I load my JRE on Win XP I get a BSOD, and Iced Tea dosen’t load on Ubuntu. Best I can do is get you a few screenshots if you want them. [Edit] Human friendly break down. JRE = Java Runtime Enviroment. The thingy that makes the site work. Win XP = Windows XP BSOD = Blue Screen of Death (evil things…)

I get that error message quite frequently. I use Google with Windows 7, and whenever I go to the NFD Guardian, it always has an error. It didn’t used to be like that; it started about a week or two ago. I used to get one every once in a while, but now I get one every time I start the NFD Guardian, and once after I’ve voted on about 6-10 articles.

I receive this a couple of times whenever I used the Guardian before I went inactive. Appeared a minute ago as I noted in another thread. Firefox 17 Windows 7
