As we have a midnight swim (Haha Dennis :)), I thought to create a night club outside it so that people can party after swimming:slight_smile:Ok, drinks ready, checklist: Drinks. Check DJ… Check Place… Check Lights… Check Get ready yo!

Hey there guys! I’m seeing a lot of ‘party’ threads lately. As much of a party fan I am, too many of these threads gets a little excessive.:wink:I know we already made an Easter thread, a midnight swim thread, a KFC party thread, and now this one, so this is getting a bit overdone. I just want to ask of you guys that you cool it down with the ‘party’ threads, okay?:slight_smile:I’m going to leave this one open, but remember to use the threads you have rather than constantly making new ones, in the future.

Ok! I see your point! Id like to agree with Confusionist here, we should keep the partying strictly to certain threads. And Ima, or anyone else, if you would like to have the pool party “ended” then I can always change the title to Night club or some other topic so we all can keep hanging at different places, but in the same thread so we dont clutter up the chat line! ~~Although @Confusionist , I think I have seen a lot of “User above” games recently aswell:stuck_out_tongue:

Yeah, there was a short period where the ‘user above’ threads were a little nuts, but the community seemed to enjoy them and stay on topic, so not a big deal.:slight_smile:I’m more directing this towards the threads that have a good chance of deteriorating into a ‘personal chat thread’ between a limited number of people. I don’t necessarily have a problem with a little bit of that going on, but an overload of those can be obnoxious and scare off some new people trying to get involved in the forums.

I’ll tell you what the problem is. Everyone wants their thread to become popular, and be the most used in it’s category. Ever wondered why people create so many chat threads and jump on the bandwagon everytime something unique started by a user gains traction? It’s because they like to use their own threads more than others’. Everyone wants their thread to be the next wikitwittwr, or gender battle. Most of the new threads created these days are dups of existing ones.

Yeah, if the dup is older than 8 weeks I usually let it pass. Occasionally I give out warnings if someone is just posting and posting on their thread to push it to the top. Not really too much of a problem at this point, though.

I guess it isn’t a problem, but it beats me why people want to create threads rather than posting on existing ones.

You should make your own thread, too!:smiley:Jk, jk.:slight_smile:I see what you mean. Anyway, back to the thread topic, guys. Sorry for sidetracking you all!

Umm… I think the midnight swimming is a beach party and this is a DJ party. And Easter is completely different

Completely different? Awesome! While we’re at it, why not make a pizza party, cruise party, rave party, rock party, jazz party, coke party, pyjama party, and slumber party too? I mean, sticking to one thread is just so mainstream.

You are getting sarcastic. Easter is for an occasion. Theses are threads just to generally party.

*dresses up as panda*

I think that they are trying to tell that there are already many threads to “generally party”. But, as Marina said, this thread can be open as long as it stays on the topic and does not convert into a chat between given people.

LOL!!! I love the rave party idea, haha jk.

I again hate to get off topic, but this is an example. Snowy, as well as many other users(including myself) Post the same/similar comments on multiple party threads. no matter what the topic is, we seem to all still post similar stuff… anyways, enough of this chat:) back to the game… *orders drinks*(even though I did the same thing at the other partys!)

There’s nothing wrong with doing ‘similar things’ in threads.:slight_smile:We’re just saying don’t turn this into the PersonA and PersonB personal chat thread. That gets obnoxious and kind of makes it difficult to get back on topic.
