Today I went on forums and every time I pressed on a discussion and then went out of it, it said that it was connecting me to my wikihow account. Isn’t it only meant to do this the first time??? Somebody please help and fix this. (Sorry for saying “it” so many times)

Actually, this can happen sometimes, and is no big deal. Sometimes, due to network connections or your logging in/out activity, the forums will have to reconnect to your wikiHow account that is logged on to your current browser. I believe it happens to a lot of people, including me. Sometimes, when my network lags, it will have to reconnect to your account, and things will go back to normal after a few seconds. I hope this clears some problems!

Yes, I wasn’t paying attention, but I think it happens every time you go on forums.

Wait, never mind. It doesn’t happen every time you go on forums. Clearing cache and logging off can cause it.

Thank you.

@FlowerPower555   Sometimes, even without clearing my cache or logging off can also cause it, and I’m starting to believe that using multiple devices logged into the same account can also cause a similar problem of some sort.

Maybe you should ask Aasim. I’m not good at detecting bugs. I clear my cache every day, so probably every time I use the forums it happens.

If you use a web browser that takes “snapshots” of pages for your browsing history, this is expected.  I use Microsoft Edge Chromium and it sometimes does this to me as well.  If you are having problems with your browser’s cache, simply press Ctrl + Refresh to bypass it entirely.

Since it seems like an issue with your cache, I think it would be good for @JayneG to lock this thread.  If you think that there are problems with wikiHow’s installation of the MediaWiki software (the software that wikiHow runs on), feel free to open another bug report.  If the bug is urgent, you can get a faster reply if you send an email to support@wikihow.com or Jayne or Chris.  (I have used email to report bugs more quickly.)
