Hi Jayne, if you’re reading this, please stop. You don’t want to ruin a surprise! Remember, curiousity killed the cat! No staff members (especially community managers) beyond this point. Thanks!
Anyway, it’s almost Jayne’s wikiBirthday, and she’s been an awesome community manager, so I thought maybe we should plan something? I guess something simple is alright, but we definitely need a message of thanks. Her wikiBirthday will be on June 4th, and she’s been so awesome. We only have 2 days, so we need to plan something - fast!
Here’s what I propose:
What I’m planning to do is quickly write an a page on all the amazing things she’s done, and let users sign and write a short message. The current page is nameed wikiHow:Thank You Jayne!
I only started it and wrote an outline, so we need you to help us expand it.
Feel free to put your comments in the ===Some Evidence Why Jayne is Awesome=== section. You can put an image if you want. Then sign your name with ~~~ and put a horizontal line (----).
Feel free to add things she’s done to the ===Awesome Things=== section, and use a bullet point to add some things you would like to comment. Now what are you waiting for? We’ve got two days, let’s rock this!
P.S. And @Alabaster
, I’m not going to change the title of this thread this time…
Okay! We’re no longer going to use the page, but I think the forum post is still fine… I’ve tweaked the format of the page a bit so it’s more fit to send it to her talk page. You can view the current version at User:WikiaWang/Jayne1.
There’s an error though. On talk pages, the format is different. I’m really not sure what to do… It looks a whole lot worst. The steps don’t show up correctly.
I’ve made a brief outline. The steps need to be expanded!
Seems like a good idea. Also, are you sure, the title doesn’t need changing.Also, it goes through patrol, might that be a problem?
@RubyRoseRain
I was referring to the forum thread actually, not the page.
So, I can change the title?
@RubyRoseRain
Absolutely, yes.
This seems like a really good idea! I’ll head over to the page now!
Let’s keep adding more info!!!
TY Ruby! Lots of stuff you added
Does anyone know a way to find statistics of the last year (for example, articles started, edits made, etc.), or any template names which show statistics? It’s okay if you don’t but I think it would be nice.
@RubyRoseRain
There’s {{READERSHIP}} and and more. You can find some at wikiHow/Templates and then scroll to the bottom and there should be something saying Statistic templates or something.
You can go to wikiHow:Templates/User-Statistics
I was wondering if anyone is able to incorporate anything from here
into the page, specifically showing Jayne’s statistics.
@RubyRoseRain
Give me a sec…
It’s getting late here. I’ll see tomorrow.
