This one has been there a while. This is its NAB link http://www.wikihow.com/Special:Newarticleboost/Leeyroy-Jenkins/Sandbox We can’t seem to do anything with it.

dump it?

I went to it from the mainspace. Copy/pasted the username/sandbox part… substituted it in the URL… then deleted it there. Reasoning: 1 - Not a How To. 2 - We’ve avoided “personal” sandboxes in the past. 3 - It’s not able to be managed from NAB. It should leave NAB shortly.

Thanks a lot, Lois! I wish I knew it was that easy!! It has been haunting me!!

Deleted it, might that have been a little hasty? Not that I have seen the contents but my thoughts would be. 1. A sandbox doesn’t have to be a how-to. 2. We don’t allow free-for-all-to-edit sandboxes, but we do allow personal sandboxes. 3. Being manageable by NAB isn’t a requirement of any page. That’s the tail wagging the dog. NAB should be fixed not the pages. Hopefully you’ll tell us that it was full of mean-spirited vanity content, Lois.

A sandbox shouldn’t have shown up in NAB…it had come through, somehow, as an article.

so why couldnt you just remove it from the list by edtiing the page?

Good assumption of good faith there Metsguy! I’ll bet your assumption is correct. I’ll also lay good odds that he “couldn’t find it” once he’d created it… (wry smile)

http://www.wikihow.com/User:Leeyroy-Jenkins T’was probably something done by that user. I’m assuming he intended it to be within his userspace but forgot the “User:” portion of the URL when making the “personal sandbox”.
