I’ve been looking at old discussions in the Village Pump category and noticed that a glitch happens whenever I click on a discussion and then click the back arrow at the top left. The page numbers at the bottom of the screen are replaced with white squares or don’t show up at all, but they’re still clickable:

Is this just another problem with the Vanilla forums or is it a bug that can be fixed?

Hmm, that sounds a little funky, but if it only happens in particular scenarios of “deep” browsing and/or doesn’t interfere with people’s ability to see and participate in recent discussions, it’s probably not too worrisome. I couldn’t recreate the scenario myself but it’s possible I’m misunderstanding what you’re doing. If you’re worried about it, can you share a bit of a step by step walkthrough (or a screencast, if you prefer) of what you’re clicking on?

I tried it now, but it appears the numbers are showing up now. It must have just been a glitch with the Vanilla forums.

I think I discovered what Hailey means - if you’re browsing through a specific forum section (e.g. Village Pump), open a thread, and then go back to the section via the Back arrow, the footer of the page will disappear if you’re already near it. It reappears when you scroll, though, so it doesn’t really seem like a major issue, just a graphical error (and won’t show up if you’re not near the bottom of the page already).

^+1. It seems to have gone now.

Ah, gotya, weird quirk - okay, probably the kind of thing we can live with. Thanks for investigating, folks! I’ll close this and we’ll just know how to work around it if it pops up from time to time:slight_smile:
