Hey you might notice me in the RC a lot and there has been a lot to patroll and a lot of it has been talking about nothing to do with wikiHow. Yes I know what you’re thinking give them the chat template but then you have to patrol that so could people please only chat if about wikiHow.

I recommend you give out chat templates, because not everyone reads the Forums, and chat templates will probably be taken more seriously.

Sometimes though, you might comment on someones nickname (there are a lot to do with pokemon) at the end of a useful message and you get a message back which is all about the nickname. This is annoying.

There’s no real need to leave any template/warning. We have Bunch patrol to quickly take chatter out of the patrol queue. http://www.wikihow.com/Special:Bunchpatrol

I saw people said chat well I kinda said in my article that gives us more to patroll.

I totally agree. I don’t really see chatting as that much of a bother, unless people reply to each other every 3 seconds for a whole hour. But sometimes I start chatting with people, we start off talking about stuff on wikiHow, and we may end up catching up and talking about random things like music & gardening & food…nothing wrong with people getting to know each other. It’s how friendships are made:slight_smile:
